Griffith Park Engagement Photos | Esther and Steve
I first met Esther and Steve a few years back at my friends Josh and Patty’s wedding. Steve and Esther came off super friendly and Steve told me that night “dude, you’re definitely shooting my wedding when I get married”. Well, here we are and Steve is a man of his word.
We met up last week in Los Angeles, at one of my favorite places to shoot: Griffith Observatory. I’ve photographed there before but it had been quite a while since I had done an engagement session at that location. Knowing that the killer shots from the observatory aren’t until the evening, we planned on doing two looks. One at the trail right next to the observatory and then a night look afterwards. Esther and Steve looked great together. You can tell what a playful couple they are, and that’s what I love about them. It’s easy to see how Steve loves joking around all the time and how Esther goes along with him. Very cool vibe.
After we shot at the trail for a bit, we headed over to Griffith Observatory. As expected there were a lot of tourists. However, with enough patience we were able to get a lot of photos without having too many people in the frame. It’s all about timing. We walked around for a bit before heading back towards downtown LA. Esther and Steve and came in from Phoenix, where their wedding will be, so they were staying at a hotel in Los Angeles. I suggested we do one more location and they were cool with it since it was on the way back. So on our last stop, we stopped by Walt Disney Concert Hall for a few photos. It was worth stopping for it, because the architecture there is really quite amazing. And the colors we were able to get out of it were really cool as well.
We had a great time together and I really can not wait to be there for you guys in November!
